The Team Diagnostic Model looks at teams in two dimensions.
Productivity Strengths and Positivity Strengths.
The word “Positivity” is borrowed from Emotional Intelligence and the work of Daniel Goleman. Positivity strengths create the culture of the team—the atmosphere in which the team works; this is the infrastructure of the team.
Great teams exist. Most everyone has been on a really great team and knows what it’s like and what made it a great team. But most great teams happen by accident: a rare combination of the right people at the right time with the right motivation and mission. Most organizations would prefer a repeatable process over random success. The burning question: how do we transfer what great teams know, to every other team?
This convenient online diagnostic gives team leaders a way to compare their view of the team’s strengths and weaknesses, to a proven model of team effectiveness used by thousands of teams worldwide. The diagnostic also shifts the mindset from leadership of individual performers, to leadership of the team as a whole. A leader may be a great communicator but that is inconsequential if the team doesn’t communicate well. In this way the Team Leader View™ is also leadership feedback. For team leaders it is a measure of the impact of their leadership.
